US TOUR. Summer 2010

Featuring HYPER (UK) + BURUFUNK
This very special North American-only tour (presented by Hope Management and Subculture Agency) is in support of HYPER's new album, Centre Attraction (Kilowatt Recordings) and BURUFUNK's new single, Supercharger (Journees Music). Also, we are proud to announce support from PHAT CHAD (Journees Music, Nu Guise) on select dates.

Although already one of the leading DJ lights in the new slightly left of centre world of dance music, Hyper really does seem to have taken on a new life of its own in the last few years. His second album SUICIDE TUESDAY is released in the Autumn of 2008 and marks the next stage of Hyper the band.
The album, coming out on Hyper’s KILOWATT RECORDINGS label features the ever-present talents of Hyper and Jim Davies (guitar/Vox) but adds the fresh and exciting vocal talents of Axe-girl and Odessi. The album’s tracks have already been heard on CSI and Ugly Betty TV shows and first single CENTRE ATTRACTION is receiving huge acclaim even before any promotional campaign begins. It’s going to be a great 18 months for the band that oozes pop sensibilities, punk energy and electronic style. Catch ‘em while you can.
HISTORY:
The debut artist album ‘We Control’ introduced his live band to the world and with shows as far a field as Moscow/Seoul/Miami and home UK festivals highlights such as Glastonbury set the tone for a greatly received record. We Control was a nod to the days of the Punk Rock revolution as it is to Cutting Edge Electronic Culture. It grabbed the attention of most DJs worth their salt at Radio 1 and (Mr Tong (‘Very Fresh’), Annie Nightingale, Annie Mac and Fergie); the sagely Steve Lamacq and Eddie Temple Morris have also been in on the act from the start. Even the world of big business have taken to Hyper’s sound! Most notably the use of We Control on the Peugeot 207 car campaign; trailers and films scores for Fox; and tracks on computer games from EA and Sony Playstation.

By helping to pioneer a style that has now become a dominant sound of global dance music, Hyper sits amongst the worlds top club masters. The last decade has seen the producer and DJ mastermind and release. The genre defining albums compilations ‘Y3K', ‘Bedrock Breaks', ‘Wired' and ‘Rewired'; whilst maintaining his own boutique club label; Kilowatt.
His confidence is transparent in everything he does - his own live band has rocked just about every festival going while his solo artist albums 'We Control' and 'Suicide Tuesday' have soundtracked many a night at the movies!
Recent dance floor releases have come from his notorious collaboration series, featuring JHz, Vandal and Grayarea in the build up to his hotly anticipated third album... The tunes have stormed the Zzub, Buzz and Cool Cuts Charts over the last year and received continued championing from XFM and Annie Nightingale on Radio 1 who recently credited Hyper on air as being '...One of the people responsible for getting me into this whole sound'.
Despite starting out in the breaks scene as one of its key players, Hyper has since thrown away the genre rule book and smashes through grooves of electronic bleeps, thrashing punk guitars, his trademark live bass and heavy beats ultimately driving dancefloors everywhere crazy. Not for the faint hearted, Hyper's dynamic DJ sets form a gorgeously melodic sound-clash teeming with energy - whether it's banging electro, house, disco, breaks or even a full techno work out!
With support from such diverse acts as Groove Armada, Arveene & Misk, Crystal Method, Plump DJ's and John Digweed; Hyper's trashed up disco vibes rank amongst the clubbing world's best and show an electrifying DJ only set to get better and better…
